1. Address the growing concerns from members regarding personal health safety within OGT dwellings and specific member requests to remediate.
2. Gather radon test data from OGT dwellings of participating members, technical options for remediation and legal opinion on cost liabilities between members and Strata.
3. Develop policy and guidelines for Council (once approved) to present to all members.
4. Council and the RAC recognizes that Radon is an ongoing issue across the region and this Council and future Council’s must be prepared to support members with updated Radon level data , best practices for remediation and in accordance with Council guidelines.
Best Outcome:
1. Over 2024 we collect winter/summer Radon levels per unit which will begin a base line for subsequent data collection in following years and analysis along the way.
2. All members are more familiar with the issue and guidelines for individual unit remediation are clear.
3. Members recognize this initiative will only add value to their unit and investment.

Complete Phase 2 Remediation:
1. Secure revised quotation from PTW (~Jan).
2. Arrange a Town Hall so PTW can discuss work details/unit (~Feb).
3. Call an SGM to vote on proposal and method of payment (~Mar).
4. Initiate 14 week work schedule (~Apr).
5. Complete Phase 2 by 01 July 25.
Ongoing Radon Detection Program :
1. Describe to members a continuous Radon monitoring process/units remediated.
2. Implement tracking mechanism and collection.
3. Post running data on the Website.
4. Council adopts an annual review of data at AGM’s.

1. Complete a re-test of Bldg 7 by Feb 1/25.
2. Phase 1 investigation completed (Nov ’24) and Point the Way’s quotation for remediation of Radon across OGT in hand by Jan 15/25.
3. Council to review remediation program with members and seek approval and funding process for Phase 2 by Feb 1/25.
4. If successful Phase 2 remediation across OGT completed by April 1/25.
5. Once completed an ongoing Radon testing program is created, reviewed with members and implemented across OGT by June 1/25.

1. Distribute Radon Test kits to participating members with instructions for their use.
2. Have preliminary legal input ready for Council review at 12 Feb 24 Council meeting.
3. With Council approval seek outside advice from Radon remediation specialists and begin to develop high level dwelling specific plans with those requesting members. (by May/24 or sooner)
4. Study test data collected by 01 Apr 24 and understand the scope of the issue across OGT and establish next steps.
5. Research/review work Radon done by others ( govt agencies, other Strata’s ) and apply key learnings to our efforts.
6. Bring updates and recommendations to Council as they become available.
7. Report findings and recommendations at Aug 2024 AGM .
