IN CASE OF AN EVACUATION ALERT OR ORDER - PLEASE REMOVE ALL COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL FROM YOUR DECK OR PATIO. THIS INCLUDES ALL CUSHIONS, UMBRELLAS, OUTDOOR RUGS OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT CAN BE IGNITED BY FLYING SPARKS! IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE AWAY FROM YOUR PROPERTY PLEASE KEEP YOUR DECK OR PATIO CLEAR OF COMBUSTILE MATERIAL. THIS IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT FOR THOSE FOLKS WHO LIVE IN THE TOP FLOOR CONDO UNITS!

This dashcam video footage from the 2016 Ft MacMurray fire illustrates the destructive effects that flying embers have when there is combustible vegetation/materials around residences. This further reinforces the need to remove all combustible materials from our decks/patios if an Evacuation Alert or Order issued or if one is living here only part-time. It only takes one careless resident to put all our properties in jeopardy!
